I recently had a phone chat with Dr. Duncan Rozario, Chief of Surgery in Oakville, Ont. He did 25 years of gruelling surgical call as a resident and then as a general surgeon, working every fifth weeknight and every fifth weekend from Saturday at 7 a.m. until Monday at 7 a.m.—or 48 hours straight.
